Gas price in Europe hits record high of $2,000 per 1,000 cbm

MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- The price for gas on the European market has reached U.S. $2,000 per 1,000 cubic meters for the first time at 2:53 p.m. Moscow time on Tuesday, as seen by PRIME in the ICE Futures trading data.

The highest price was registered at $2,004 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas, a 16.7% rise from the previous day’s settlement price of $1,716.7.
